Sometimes life gives you lemons... but life is about perspective. The sour lemons can be so powerful that the taste overtakes everything and begins to sour even the sweet parts of life. But if we go in with a little perspective and a spoonful of sugar, we can make our sour lemons into a lemonade that makes even the sour parts of life sweet.
I have been pondering life a lot this week. Life hasn't been easy for me lately and at times I have felt utterly and completely alone, but that's why I'm grateful for parents and a Heavenly Father reminding me to tap into the importance of perspective. I could focus on all the things I don't have, all the people I miss, all the experiences I'm not having... or I could rely on my gratitude for all that I've been the blessed with: incredible friends and family both home and serving missions, attending a spiritually and educationally uplifting school, taking part of the spirit through singing with the BYU Women's Chorus every single day and sharing that gift with others, and many many more gifts.
Life isn't perfect and doesn't always (and probably hardly ever) goes as planned. I think at this time in my life, although I'm struggling with many things, Heavenly Father has blessed me with these personal trials so that I can learn to find perspective and learn to love life no matter what form it comes in. I believe that He has a specific plan made out just for me and I He is teaching me how to trust it.
- so although life is throwing sour lemons at me, I am dousing it in the sugar of perspective that Heavenly Father has a bigger plan for me than I have for myself-
- sometimes life gives you lemons -
